About Us

For 65 years, the Hoffman and Amaducci families have managed Tinkertown Cottages to proudly provide fine lodging and beautifully sculpted surroundings for Cape Cod visitors to enjoy.

Tinkertown Cottages begins with clean, comfortable accommodations inside and out. Full kitchens include microwaves, coffee makers, stoves and full size refrigerators. Add to it the comfortable quarters with cable television and extra cozy beds with fresh linens to provide your best rest for the next days' adventures on Cape Cod. With all this you have the beginnings of a great vacation. Some of the cottages boast porches. All are equipped with Weber outdoor gas grills and umbrella covered patio tables to share your favorite beverage, conversations and life experiences. The entire property is fenced in on three sides offering privacy for you and safety for your children.

The real pride and joy of Tinkertown Cottages are Diane's "sunlit gardens nestled near the sea," which change weekly with daffodils, tulips, bleeding hearts, day lilies, butterfly bushes, rhododendron and hydrangeas. They are only a few of the many plantings that grace the property and your stay. The meditation gardens bring you the peace and serenity to put life in perspective. The twelve foot screened in gazebo is a favorite place to meet other guests and make new friends or extended family as Diane has since the gazebo was built in 1996 celebrating there 50th year in business.

Just next door beyond this jewel near the sea is a short walk on a quaint little path to several Nantucket Sound beaches where the average summer water temperature reaches 72 degrees. Also, within walking distance you'll discover one of Diane's favorite restaurants across from the beach called The Skipper which has the best chowder and a huge lobster roll served on french bread.

The scenic bike riding through historic Bass River is one of the many favorite activities. You may pass by old sea captains homes, the most photographed house on Cape Cod, and another one of our favorites is the recently restored Judah Baker Windmill. We have recently added going clamming on Sundays, if you would like don't forget to bring your old sneakers and join us!

Whatever you decide to do while staying at Tinkertown Cottages, we look forward to meeting you and yours.  If you decide to stay elsewhere please stop by and look at our property for another tiime. Cape Cod is so quaint and beatiful you could spend a life time here and never see it all.
